Cold-Saponification

Ingredients are mixed by hand at low temperatures. This preserves the natural therapeutic benefits of the botanical oils.

Step 03

Handmade Pouring & Curing

The soap batter is poured into wooden molds, hand-cut into chunky bars, and left to slowly cure for 6 weeks on drying racks.

Step 04

Plastic-Free Packaging

Every bar is inspected, hand-stamped, and wrapped in 100% recyclable, plant-based compostable boxes.

What makes cold-process soap different from commercial soap?

Commercial soaps are mass-produced detergents that extract natural glycerin (a skin-moisturizer) to sell in body creams. Ekam soaps are cold-processed, hand-mixed, and slowly cured. This preserves the naturally occurring glycerin and skin-loving fats from organic plants.

Do your soaps contain sodium hydroxide (lye)?

Yes, all genuine soap requires lye (sodium hydroxide) for saponification—the chemical reaction that turns oils into soap. However, after our 6-week curing process, all the lye is fully reacted and transformed. Zero sodium hydroxide remains in the finished bars of soap.

How should I store handmade soaps to make them last?

Handmade soaps contain rich moisturizing ingredients that attract water. To prolong the life of your bar, store it on a draining soap dish, away from pooling water or direct shower spray. Let it dry completely between baths.

Are your products safe for highly sensitive skin?

Absolutely. Our Castile Olive Oil and Honey Oatmeal soaps are designed specifically for delicate skins. They contain zero fragrance essential oils and zero allergens to provide pure, basic, protective cleansing.
